Samsung released a series of videos on the functions of the Galaxy S9
Samsung Electronics has published a series of short videos, allowing to form a quite clear idea about the features of the flagship Galaxy S9. Despite its brevity, the videos literally bump the viewer into the functionality of the future smartphone.
The first video obviously indicates the predisposition of the Galaxy S9 to shooting even in low light conditions. Variable aperture and powerful LED flash will not compromise, sacrificing the detail or color reproduction of the frame.
The second video is aimed at demonstrating the high frame rate, so objects shot in motion will not get blurry. Especially for this, according to data on the Galaxy S9 packaging, Samsung has developed a new shooting mode called Super Speed.
The third short film tells about the front camera Galaxy S9 and can serve as a hint of support for the smartphone of three-dimensional animoji, imitating the user's facial expressions. According to reports, the animoji from Samsung will surpass the analogue from Apple, offering much more opportunities.
The final video was published by the general director of the Italian “daughter” Samsung. This record lasts twice as long as each of the previous ones, leaving no doubt about the manufacturer's desire to tell about his plans to equip the Galaxy S9 with a camera with a variable aperture indicator.

Xiaomi launches in Russia official forum on MIUI
As part of the ongoing expansion of the domestic market, Xiaomi launches a support forum for MIUI users in Russia. AndrodInsider.ru was told about it by representatives of the company. The Russian-language platform was the third in the list of official platforms dedicated to the firmware of the Chinese manufacturer.
The Russian-language version of the MIUI forum has just started, but has already acquired its own application (so far only as an APK file) and several dozen discussions. Here, users can not only get important information about the firmware, but also participate in contests and even debates.
The most active and knowledgeable users can try themselves as moderators. At the moment, the forum needs creative and communicative people who are familiar with MIUI and who are ready to share their knowledge with others. You can read the requirements for the candidates by clicking on this link.
Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 and 5 Pro are officially
Xiaomi Company introduced Redmi Note 5 and 5 Pro. Previously, the web appeared renders and specifications of smartphones, which turned out to be true. So, Redmi Note 5 became a full copy of Redmi 5 Plus. The device was equipped with a Snapdragon 625 processor, a 12-megapixel main and an 8-megapixel front camera, a 5.99-inch display with FHD + resolution, 3/4 GB of RAM, 32/64 GB of flash memory and a 4000 mAh battery. The cost of Redmi Note 5 was 155 dollars, which is slightly more expensive than Redmi 5 Plus in the version with 3 GB of RAM and 32 GB of flash memory. But we are more interested in Redmi Note 5 Pro.
The smartphone got a completely different appearance. Of course, apparently the device still adheres to the style of Xiaomi, but there is a clear similarity with the iPhone X, but not strong. Still, Xiaomi does not forget about its design features. The device is equipped with a Snapdragon 636 processor, 4/6 GB of RAM and 64 gigabytes of flash memory, a 5.99-inch display with FHD + resolution, a 4000 mAh battery, a dual main camera (12 Mp + 5 Mp) and a 20 Mp front. In addition, of the pleasant features of the 5 Pro, you can unlock the face.
The cost of the Redmi Note 5 Pro version with 4 GB of RAM was 218 dollars, while the 6 GB version will cost the customers $ 265, which, in my opinion, is pretty not bad. For 15 thousand rubles, you get a device with 6 GB of RAM, a dual camera, a good display, which also looks like the flagship of the iPhone X. And that's fine. According to rumors, smartphone sales will start on February 22.
Andy Rubin sold less than 90 thousand Essential Phone for 2017
Essential PH-1 – the debut smartphone of the same name start-up Andy Rubin. The model received a catchy design and good characteristics. It has a 5.71-inch high-resolution display, eight-core Snapdragon 835, 4 GB of RAM and a dual camera. In this case, the device is badly bought. For five months of sales, the number of sales did not reach 90,000.
Implementation problems became evident soon after the launch, which took place in August. At the end of September, the sources told about five thousand devices sold. A month later, the management lowered the price from 699 to 499 dollars. The first buyers were offered a discount of $ 200 to buy a new model.
The concessions of the company did not help to achieve serious results, according to Android Authority. According to research firm IDC, in 2017 Essential shipped 88 thousand smartphones.

Since the beginning of sales, smartphone users have complained about poor picture quality, poor communication and software problems. In this case, the manufacturer continues to support the model and is preparing an upgrade to Android 8.1.
Google adapts Android for smartphones with a notch in the display
Google intends to adapt Android P for smartphones with a cutout in the display. This is reported by Bloomberg with reference to informed sources. According to the interlocutors of the publication, thus the search giant plans to lure the owners of the iPhone X, having played on their attachment to design and technology.
“According to people familiar with the situation, Google is working on adapting mobile software for a new generation of smartphones with a characteristic insert in top of the display, – writes Bloomberg. “This step will allow Android to increase its market power by providing wide-ranging authentication sensors.”
By teaching the Android interface to automatically adapt to the technical “island” in the display, Google will eliminate this need for manufacturers and thus allow them to denser approach the development issue technologies. The most promising of them is the three-dimensional identification of the user by the digital “cast” of his face.
The first smartphone in the world with a notch in the display was the Essential Phone of Andy Rubin, and not the iPhone X, as for some reason it is considered. Unlike Apple, which placed a whole set of sensors in the island, Essential chose to limit itself to just the front camera, making the onscreen cut more elegant than the competitor's.
