It follows from the description of the invention that the development will work on the principle of a router. When plugged into an outlet, the hub will continuously transmit the electricity converted into radio frequencies. All compatible devices that are in the range of its operation will be able to connect to the hub for recharging.

Samsung does not specify how much power the charging station will issue, but hints that it will be enough to cover a regular room . The connection will be maintained regardless of obstacles such as furniture and people in the room and even when moving the device from place to place.

Earlier, the development of a charging station that did not require direct contact with a charged device, announced the start-up Energous Corporation. The engineers of the company abandoned induction technology, calling this method obsolete, and focused on the principles of converting electricity into a radio signal.
