It takes three hours to recharge the battery, but you can keep playing while it charges.
The Nintendo Switch may be portable, but it can drain. Nintendo claims it can last for six hours, but most of the time you'll be searching for your charger long before then. That makes a power bank an incredible purchase for mobile switch gamers, and Anker just announced a couple of officially licensed ones.
Anker named them the PowerCore 20100 and PowerCore 13400 Nintendo Switch Edition, offering up to 15 hours of additional playtime for your Switch. Probably more impressive than that is Anker's claim that the PowerCore power banks can fully recharge your Switch battery in three hours even if you continue playing. Working with Nintendo to “calibrate its battery technology to intelligently deliver fast charging” is what made this possible.
The main difference between the two PowerCore products is the battery capacity on offer. The PowerCore 13400 promises nine hours of extra playtime using a 13,400mAh battery and will cost $ 69.99. The PowerCore 20100 increases playtime to an extra 15 hours thanks to its use of a larger 20,100mAh battery. It will cost $ 89.99.
One of the problems when choosing a power bank for Switch. For that reason alone, these Anker batteries will prove popular. They are looking for the part, carrying Switching, branded, rounded edges, and fit in the bag.
The PowerCore power banks are not on sale just yet, but Anker says they will be available via Anker.com or GameStop before the end of June.
