The global diamond market has frozen in anticipation of global changes: the largest diamond mining company of the planet De Beers, which accounts for almost a third of the world's natural diamonds, will begin selling their artificial counterparts in September of this year, which will be much cheaper. According to experts, the prices that have developed in the market over the past decade will “fly away” downward.

A “daughter” De Beers, a new company Lightbox Jewelry, will be engaged in the implementation of artificial diamonds under the Lightbox brand. Some prices are already known. So, the product weighing a quarter of a carat will cost the buyer $ 200, respectively, in 1 carat – $ 800. For comparison, today an artificial diamond with such weight costs 4000, and its natural “colleague” – 8000 dollars.

By the way, artificial diamonds, due to modern technologies, have practically the same physical and chemical characteristics as those created by nature. Moreover, today special equipment is needed to distinguish them from each other.

Lightbox Jewelry will join the list of world companies engaged in the production of artificial diamonds. Among them are Diamond Foundry (USA) and the Russian “New Diamond Technologies”.
