“Google Camera” became available to owners of Galaxy S7, S8 and Note 8

“Google Camera” with support for portrait mode of shooting, provided with software algorithms, is now available to the owners of some Samsung smartphones. This is reported by the English resource WCCFTech with reference to the APK-file of the application published on the portal XDA Developers.

It is reported that for the work of “Google Camera” requires a smartphone that supports the interface Camera2 API, which have all the latest generation Samsung models. However, at the moment Google Camera supports only three devices: Galaxy S7, S8 and Note 8 based on Exynos chips.

However, simply installing Google Camera on a smartphone and enjoying portrait photos will not be enough. Before you start working with the application, you must configure it properly. To do this, set the following set of parameters in the settings:

Model: Nexus 6

Portrait Mode on all models: on

camera.af.debuf.show: off

camera.faceboxes: on

In addition to portrait mode, the application boasts 4K video recording support, RAW photos and the ability to set a zero shutter release delay. Since the application is not approved by Google, the developer does not guarantee its stable operation.
