The change of generations of TVs with Full HD screens to 4K format has not yet come to an end, as the prototype of 8K format has already appeared on the “horizon”. LG is ready to present at its traditional annual CES show in Las Vegas its first child, the world's first 88-inch TV with an 8K OLED screen.

According to representatives of the South Korean electronic giant, OLED technology provides ultra-high resolution ( 7680 x 4320) without sacrificing brightness with low power consumption compared to backlit LCD panels. Since OLED-panels do not need lighting, they can be very thin. The screen of the new TV can hold 33 million pixels.

So far, everything will be limited to showing the concept model with unsurpassed image quality. The unknown price of the device remains unknown. However, if we focus on the finely dispersed 77-dyed TVs produced in June last year with an OLED-screen manufactured by the USA, then the price of the South Korean novelty is unlikely to be “budgetary.”
