Sharing links to websites can be a fairly unpleasant affair.
Web addresses can get really long, especially if websites add tracking IDs, referrers or other information to their URLs.
Butever for ever a web address is shared, the mobile browser just cuts all the useless information from the address, as tech website Android Police points out.
There is one downside, though: page anchors that help you now also being removed, meaning anyone getting a link from Chrome may need to do some scrolling. – dpa
