Microsoft introduced an affordable Surface Go tablet to compete with the iPad 2018 model year. The retail price of the novelty starts at $ 399 per version in the base configuration.

Surface Go – Features

Surface Go is equipped with a 10-inch PixelSense display with a 3: 2 aspect ratio and a resolution of 1800 x 1200 pixels. At the heart of the tablet is the Pentium Gold 4415Y processor from Intel and 4/8 GB of RAM LPDDR3. The built-in memory in the basic configuration is 64 GB, reaching 256 GB – in the top.

Pen support and external keyboard

Just like the new iPad, Surface Go has support for the Surface Pen pen. With it, you can make handwritten notes, draw and edit already finished images. The stylus is not included in the kit and can be purchased separately. Its recommended retail price in the US is $ 99, corresponding to the cost of Apple Pencil.

In addition to the stylus, the new owner is offered to purchase an external keyboard with a built-in trackpad. When you connect it, installing the tablet in a vertical position, you can start working with the text, almost independent of external factors. Unfortunately, the keyboard does not have an additional battery, but without it, Surface Go can work up to 9 hours from one charge.

Tablet on a full Windows 10

The main feature of Surface Go, which distinguishes it against competitors, is the possibility of free transition from Windows 10S Home to a full version of the operating system from Microsoft. A desktop platform coupled with an x86 processor will give Surface Go owners access to a wide range of programs and usage scenarios.
