Two days left before the presentation of Samsung Unpacked 2018, at which the company will introduce two new products – Galaxy Note 9 and Galaxy Watch on Wear OS. However, the prospects are rather vague, and even the Koreans themselves do not count on success. Note 9.
Samsung confirmed the weak sales of Galaxy S9 and S9 +, the reason for this were interesting offers of competitors and the absence of major changes in the lineup. In the case of Note 9, the situation will repeat itself, and this is hinted by Samsung itself.
The company is preparing a number of offers for consumers to start sales of Note 9, which is scheduled for August 24. For example, the so-called “Value Pack” for the version with 128 GB of flash memory offers an AKG headset, a Note 9 cover, a charging and holder for the car, an additional cable.
In addition, Fortnite will be Samsung's exclusive for 120 days, Note 9 owners will receive 100-150 so-called V-Bucks, which can be spent in the game. Given the popularity of Fortnite, imagine how much money Samsung spent on such cooperation and how important it is to sell Note 9.
But that's not all. Verizon will launch a BOGO action (buy one – get a second as a gift) for all who pre-order for Note 9. The terms of the action are not known yet, but previously BOGO was not launched at the moment of pre-orders. For example, last year sales of Note 8 started on August 23, and T-Mobile's BOGO was launched on September 2.
Samsung has one goal now – to achieve maximum sales. And if the company was confident of the success of Note 9, it would not offer consumers so many bonuses.
