Samsung Electronics intends to replenish the lineup of Galaxy A smartphones with two more affordable models – A6 and A6 +, reports SlashLeaks. The development of new products is confirmed by synthetic tests conducted by the manufacturer with the help of the benchmark Geekbench on the eve of release.
Galaxy A6, which acts as a junior version, is equipped with an Exynos 7870 processor and 3 GB of RAM. The Galaxy A3 2017 model year and several smartphones of the Galaxy J. range are based on the same chipset. This “stone” has eight Cortex-A53 cores and a Mali-T830 MP1 graphics accelerator.
The older Galaxy A6 + is based on the more efficient Snapdragon 625 processor Qualcomm and the graphics coprocessor Adreno 506. The volume of the smartphone's RAM is also increased and is 4 GB. Both smartphones are running Android 8.0.0 Oreo with Project Treble support.
It is assumed that the Galaxy A6 and A6 + will continue the tradition of the A8 and A8 + models and will receive an Infinity display with an aspect ratio of 18: 9 and aspiring to no frames. The output of such smartphones will invariably lead to an increase in interest in Samsung and the growth of the manufacturer's share in the mobile electronics market.
