SXSW is a grandiose event, which includes music, film and media festivals and conferences that take place annually in mid-March in Austin, Texas. Among the innovations introduced here by Sony this year is the Superception Head Light system. It is a helmet with a Sony MP-CL1 projector in the front and headphones Sony MDR-X950. This pile of electronics is complemented by HTC Vive, which creates a projection in the process of moving around the room.
Representatives of Sony report that the device should demonstrate the possibility of the influence of modern technologies on the perception of a person through his feelings. During the demonstration, users can, for example, feel themselves in the “role” of the mosquito, which smells blood in the air. Another “picture” will show the world through the eyes of a butterfly, while the projector will project onto the wall a colorful abstract mosaic imitating the sight of an insect.
While Superception Head Light does not have a clear field of application. But, at least, this is an unusual concept that allows you to look at the world at an unusual angle.js.src = “&version=v2.8”; 'script', 'facebook-jssdk'));
