The first version of the Snapchat Spectacles smart-glasses, capable of shooting video and broadcasting it to the Snapchat application, was released in September 2016. According to the general opinion, the commercial success of the gadget was very modest, but the brand owner Snap did not stop there, releasing a new version – Snapchat Spectacles v2.

Compared to the first, the updated model can shoot photos, video with the ability to wirelessly connect to the smartphone, has a waterproofing and has a more refined design.

The owners of Snapchat Spectacles v2 can now shoot video with a resolution of 1216 x 1216 pixels lasting 10, 20, 30 seconds. Thanks to the second built-in microphone, the quality of the recorded sound has significantly improved.

In the process of shooting it became possible to “capture” static objects. At 10 degrees – from 115 to 105 – the angle of view was reduced, and the speed of transferring the results of video shooting to the smartphone was increased 4-fold. The gadget also became more autonomous: one charge is enough to shoot and transmit up to 70 video clips for 10 seconds each.

From accessories of a novelty it is necessary to note a special cover-case, being simultaneously a charger. Built-in battery lasts for 4 gadget charging. Snapchat Spectacles v2 are available in three colors – black, blue and red. Instead of the factory in the smart glasses, you can insert individual lenses, including prescription corrective ones.

Snapchat Spectacles v2 can already be purchased at a price of $ 150.
