The greater depth of scanning guarantees the reliability of positioning, even if the upper layers are working, changing the asphalt, bubbling flood, etc., at a depth of 1 m and more all is stable. Tests showed that when driving at speeds of up to 100 km / h, the WaveSense system determines the location on the map with an accuracy of 1-2 cm, despite the presence of interference from snow or debris. That's ready orientation system for drones, as an alternative or addition to existing sets of sensors.
